SUNGIUSARFIK IKINNGUT IS LOOKING FOR TWO SOCIAL EDUCATORS.

About the work:

Sungiusarfik Ikinngut is a nationwide residential institution for young people and adults with physical and mental disabilities located in Ilulissat.

The institution consists of two departments for 20 residents and a satellite department for one resident, as well as a workshop and a small bakery.

Employment: 1/2-26

The educator's tasks are:

- participation in the daily pedagogical work

- targeted pedagogical work

- contribute to maintaining mentally and physically healthy working conditions.

Employment relationship:

Remuneration will be based on the agreement between the Greenland Home Rule and the applicable trade union.

Housing can be allocated according to the applicable rules at any given time. Moving and travel expenses will also be covered according to the applicable rules.

A criminal record and child certificate will be obtained in connection with a possible employment.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned to the position according to the applicable rules at any given time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the allocation of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not permitted to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
