We are looking for an employee who is skilled in accounting, bookkeeping, financial follow-up, and analysis. You know how to handle daily bookkeeping, but you also understand how to analyze financial data, and importantly, how to communicate the results both in writing and verbally, so that non-professionals can understand it.

About the position

Bookkeeping in IRIS and Prisme

Ongoing internal accounting follow-up

Contribute to the ongoing quarterly budget follow-up of the Self-Government

Execution of various economic analyses
-
Communication of results, both in writing and orally

Participate in relevant working groups

Various ad hoc tasks.
The tasks are very varied and also include follow-up on service contracts, as well as ongoing political support.
About you

Relevant education with a focus on economics or another relevant education
-
Experience from a politically governed organization or possibly a larger private company

Can work independently

Can maintain an overview in pressured situations

Can work with Excel at an advanced level

Abilities to engage positively and welcomingly in collaboration with colleagues and other partners.

Knowledge of Greenlandic societal and business conditions

It is an advantage if you speak Greenlandic as well as Danish and also preferably English.
The Economy and Administration Department is a department in the Ministry of Business and Resources. The Ministry of Business and Resources employs 45 staff members, and the Consumer and Competition Authority falls under the ministry.
The Economics and Administration Department collaborates widely within the areas of responsibility of the Department.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
