The Department of Education, Culture, Sports and Church is seeking an AC Officer or Special Consultant for cross-cutting projects, analysis, and sector plans. The Department of Economics, Personnel & Study Administration is looking for a new colleague who will help develop and strengthen results in the education sector. We need an approachable team player with a flair for working in a politically governed organization, who preferably has expertise in one or more of the competency areas related to cross-cutting projects, analytical work, and the preparation of sector plans.
The development of the education sector is a high priority, so that the best educational opportunities can be created for everyone and qualified labor can be ensured for the business community. Funding for culture is considered essential to ensure the ongoing development of society's assets. Grants for sports are sought to be allocated to athletes, as sports are seen as a way to combat lifestyle diseases, among other things. Additionally, the church is an integral part of the structure of society.

We would like to see that:

You have a relevant academic master's degree, e.g. Cand.Scient.Soc., Cand.Scient.Adm., Cand.Comm. or Cand.Mag.

You have experience from a similar position or from a position within the public sector.

You have a strong communicative and coordinating sense to be able to prepare analysis reports, concept notes, and sector plans.

You have experience working qualitatively, particularly with reporting and contact with people.

You possess the ability to adapt systems to people.

You can absorb large amounts of information in a short time and convey it to a wide audience.

You have a good knowledge of Greenlandic society and the public system in Greenland.

You have good language skills, preferably Greenlandic and English.

You have the ability to maintain an overview in a complex process and can process information into understandable and precise political decision-making proposals.

You have experience in dealing with decision-makers and external stakeholders.

Development and preparation of reports and sector plans for the entire department's area of responsibility.

To contribute with text, context, and direction, for example, in relation to the political work on the incentive structure for the youth target group.

To contribute to development projects with and without a data focus.

Participation in cross-cutting development projects and other international initiatives in the education sector.

Prepare notes and other responses for political level, speeches, the press, etc.

Prepare case presentations, policies, strategies, and guidelines for use in the organization.

Engage in a collaborative community with your closest colleagues.

Response to §37 questions and other external actors in the field.

Participation in working groups, whether they are the department's internal working groups or working groups across other departments and authorities.

Political service of the Minister, as well as the entire Government regarding educational policy issues.

Contribute to the development and optimization of the organizational structure.

Communication of departmental instructions and guidelines to subordinate operational units.

Ad-hoc language and reporting tasks.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For the right qualified candidate with several years of experience, the employment, after a specific assessment, may take place on special consultant terms. If one is already a special consultant with several years of experience, one may, after a specific assessment, be employed on chief consultant terms.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
