The position involves secretarial support, project management, and communication tasks, focusing on human rights in Greenland. You will work in a small team in Nuuk and have significant autonomy and opportunities for further education.
IPPS - The Council for Human Rights is seeking a dedicated AC officer with strong communication and project management skills, who will contribute to our work to promote and protect human rights in Greenland.
In the position, you will have a daily routine with many interfaces and diverse tasks, ranging from secretarial support for the Council and facilitation of its meetings, to contributions to UN and consultation processes, project management, and communication support for our website and Facebook page.
You will especially play a central role in the development, production, and quality assurance of our content in Greenlandic.
With us, you will be part of a small secretariat consisting of a total of two AC employees and a secretariat manager, who work closely together across disciplines and areas of responsibility.

Work tasks:
Contribute to communication on our website and social media, where you will have a special responsibility regarding production and quality assurance in Greenlandic and Danish.
Project management
Contribute to the secretariat support of the Council and facilitation of council meetings.
Coordination and collaboration with stakeholders, including authorities, civil society, and international organizations.
Participate in monitoring the human rights situation in Greenland and identify areas for improvement, as well as contribute to the preparation of analyses and reports in the field.
Qualifications:
Relevant education
Ability to work independently and in teams
Good written and oral communication skills in both Greenlandic and Danish
Experience with project management and coordination of activities is an advantage.
Knowledge of – or interest in – human rights
Employment conditions
The position is full-time and is located in Nuuk. Employment will be based on an individual contract.
No housing can be provided for the position.
