The Meeraq Nursery is looking for a leader to create a safe and cohesive daily life for the children. The institution accommodates 36 children and has a team of 12 staff members. We seek an educational leader with strong collaboration skills and experience in administrative and financial management.

Are you passionate about leadership and a good childhood? The Meeraq daycare has space for 36 children aged 0 – 2 years, divided into 3 rooms. The institution is located in Paamiut and consists of a staff team of 12 employees, including the leader.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

It is important for us that the children experience a coherent and safe everyday life with positive relationships. Therefore, we expect you, as a leader, to help create the framework and support the institution's goals.

Can be part of the administrative and financial management work

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

A staff housing option will be available for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc., will be paid according to the current rules for rent payment in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If a permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon taking up the position, employees entitled to a vacant housing will be offered a temporary vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc., will be paid according to the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff housing becomes available. A relocation travel allowance and moving of personal belongings will be provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
