The Department for Housing, Infrastructure, Outlying Districts, and Emergency Management is seeking a structured and responsible employee for the Housing and Property area. The position is particularly focused on the administration of public housing finance loans, financial statements, early redemptions, reconciliations, and follow-up on specific loan cases.
The Housing and Property area handles tasks related to housing and real estate, including housing financing, real estate, buying and selling of assets, legislation, citizen inquiries, and political-administrative services.
About the position
As a financial caseworker, you will have a central role in the administration of public housing finance loans. You will work with specific cases, financial information, loan statements, reconciliations, payments, early redemptions, and citizen inquiries.
The position requires financial understanding, systematic approach, precision, and the ability to work with both numbers, documentation, regulations, and specific case processes. You will have contact with citizens, banks, financial institutions, lawyers, municipalities, real estate agents, and other authorities.
A significant part of the work will involve ensuring accurate registration, bookkeeping, and reconciliation of loan information, including reconciliations in IRIS and with the bank. You will also contribute to the follow-up on older and ongoing loan cases as well as to the development of more standardized workflows in the area.
Your tasks
Your tasks will include:

case processing and administration of public housing finance loans

handling of inquiries regarding housing financing, loan administration, and early repayment
-
guidance of citizens, banks, financial institutions, lawyers, municipalities, and other authorities
-
preparation of decisions, response letters, guidance letters, notes, and case presentations
-
statement and follow-up on remaining debt, repayments, payments, interest, and financial terms
-
bookkeeping, payments, and financial recording of loan cases
-
voting in IRIS and in relation to the bank, including follow-up on discrepancies
-
journaling, recording, archiving, and quality assurance of documentation
-
case processing and financial follow-up on the sale of BSU houses, including collaboration with real estate agents
-
contributions to internal workflows, standard letters, guidelines, digitization, and uniform practices
-
substitute function in connection with the purchase and sale of assets as needed
We imagine that you have a relevant educational background in economics, finance, administration, or similar fields. This could be, for example, a degree in economic and resource management, a bachelor's in business economics, a finance education, or another relevant qualification combined with practical experience.
The position may also be relevant for you if you have experience in the banking or finance sector, especially if you have worked with loans, redemptions, outstanding debt, repayments, loan statements, reconciliations, customer dialogue, or documentation.

has experience with or interest in loan administration, redemptions, and financial case processing

can work in a structured, independent, and responsible manner

has good written communication skills and can guide citizens and partners clearly

can handle financial and personal information confidentially and accurately

can work in Excel and preferably has experience with IRIS, XAL, cBrain F2 or similar systems

guidance of citizens, banks, financial institutions, lawyers, municipalities, and other authorities

has an interest in the housing sector and public housing financing schemes
It would also be an advantage if you can communicate in both Greenlandic and Danish.

The work takes place in a professional environment with varying tasks, short decision-making processes, and close collaboration with colleagues in the office.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
