Cook at Daycare 'Nanuaraq': Daycare 'Nanuaraq' is looking for a nutrition assistant/kitchen assistant to start on March 1, 2026, or as soon as possible by agreement. The daycare caters to 30 children aged 0-6 and employs a total of 10 staff, including the director. We expect: • A background in the food industry. • Knowledge of allergies and ability to prepare special meals. • Team player qualities. • Ability to work closely with users. • Integrity towards the municipality, management, and colleagues. • Ability to innovate and adapt. Responsibilities include: • Preparing nutritious meals for up to 52 infants/children. • Maintaining kitchen cleanliness. • Ensuring freezers, refrigerators, and cooking equipment are clean. • Monthly meal planning. • Procuring cost-effective food with the director. • Adhering to the municipality's childcare guidelines. • Following the daycare's regulations. • Keeping up with educational methods and principles. • Welcoming new children and parents. • Engaging in meal preparation with children. • Shopping. • Managing the meal budget with the director. • Procuring food externally. • Monthly negotiations with suppliers. • Serving Greenlandic dishes suitable for children. Criminal record check: This position is subject to the law on obtaining a criminal record check for offenses against children. Employment is contingent upon receiving this check. The municipality's assessment of the applicant will include this check.
