Experienced educator sought for Integrated Institution Naasut in Nuuk city center

The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking skilled and dedicated educators for the Integrated Institution Naasut, starting on March 1, 2026, or according to the applicable agreements. As an educator, you will have the opportunity to influence the institution and its values. The Department for Children and Schools aims to create curious, resilient, healthy, and happy children. It is expected that you will work closely with the leader to achieve this goal.

About the new institution:

The new institution has 96 children divided into 6 rooms, 3 rooms in the nursery department and 3 rooms in the kindergarten department.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
