SEARCH THIS POSITION Utoqqaat Illuat is one of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq's elderly institutions in Nuuk city and consists of 5 sections with 21 residents, 5 + 5 + 3 residents, and 9 + 5 citizens on short-term respite stays. We are a round-the-clock institution, and therefore work is done in 3 shifts. The staff at Utoqqaat Illuat have various qualifications, including health assistants, health helpers, nurses, and there are also a number of unskilled workers employed. In addition to the three departments, there is also a laundry, a kitchen, and a maintenance function.

Work tasks:

Fundamental - nursing, care, and treatment of physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually affected residents with dementia in collaboration with the team coordinator and dementia assistants and other staff at Utoqqaat Illuats.

We expect that you:

Is trained as a healthcare assistant and is aware of their competencies.

Has experience in the elderly and activity sector and dementia

Have the desire and interest to work with elderly residents/citizens.

Possess good collaboration skills and a good sense of humor.

Has an overview, is flexible, is committed, open, and proactive.

Service-minded, responsible, and loyal

To contribute to creating a positive, creative, inspiring, and sustainable environment

Can write clear and concise documentation in both Greenlandic and Danish.

Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Interested in working on new tasks and is curious.

That you can work as a rotating shift worker and every other weekend.

Aware of distinguishing between work life and private life

Easy to learn new tasks

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland or another relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
