Social Worker

The Nuka kindergarten in the Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a skilled and committed social worker for the Nuka kindergarten, who can start working possibly by agreement.

The kindergarten Nuka has a total of 40 children, aged 3-6 years. Divided into 2 rooms, where they have 20 children each.

Opening hours in Nuka: 7-17

The kindergarten Nuka consists of 9 staff members: leader, deputy, educator, 2 social workers, 2 assistants.

kitchen assistant as well as a cleaning assistant.

The content of the position:

We are looking for a – preferably experienced – Social Worker to join and take on a number of tasks including:

Can take responsibility and work independently when the educator is not present.

·Role model for other staff

·Close collaboration with the parents

·Work according to the Landsting Regulation No. 62 November 20, 2023

The tasks are solved in close collaboration with the other employees in the work area as well as with close and relevant partners.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
