About Atuarfik Inussuk:
You will become part of a school with approximately 1,000 students spread across grades 1-10 and with 9 special classes. We are a brand new school in development, and in the coming years, we will have a strong focus on 21st-century skills, project-based learning, teamwork, quality development, and strengthening students' academic levels.
The school's vision is to create students who can be creative, be cooperative, think critically, have digital literacy, possess good communication skills, and can work interdisciplinary.

We expect that you:
Is trained as a support person or has an educational background preferably with additional knowledge of diagnoses and disabilities. Or unskilled with experience in working with children and young people, preferably with practical skills in providing assistance.
Is robust, patient, friendly, good at collaboration, stable, responsible, and respectful.
Can take responsibility and work independently
Is cooperative with colleagues and parents, and you are willing to engage in pedagogical discussions about our work.
Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Essential tasks:
Generally support and train the child in relation to its mental, physical, and social development.
Provide social pedagogical support according to the goals set out in the child's action plan.
Help with carrying out daily tasks in daycare, where the child is.
Train the child in increased independence.
Participate in staff meetings
Participate in supervision
Participate in status meetings with the administration and parents
Collaboration with the other staff at the child's location
Preparation of status report

Criminal and Child Certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
Housing:
Housing cannot be offered for the position.
