We are seeking a dedicated and skilled director for the Child and Disability Services department. As a director, you will be responsible for daily management and operations, including planning, follow-up, and improvement within the child and disability service areas.
Re-advertisement - The Government is seeking a dedicated and skilled director for the Child and Disability Services department in Kommune Kujalleq. You will be responsible for daily management and operations, including planning, follow-up, and improvement within the child and disability service areas. This work will be conducted in close collaboration with the Government to ensure citizens' rights to service and the daily operation of the Child and Disability Services. You will report directly to the Head of the Ministry for Children and Youth.
Main tasks and responsibilities:

Ensuring planning, follow-up, and improvement of activities in the Child and Disability Services department.

Ensuring initiatives in the social sector are evidence-based and comply with current legislation.

Ensuring the quality of services offered to children, youth, and people with disabilities.
-
Responsibility for budgeting, follow-up, and compliance with legislation in the areas concerning children, youth, and people with disabilities. Effective resource management and cost improvement without compromising quality.

Establishing and maintaining good relations with citizens, interest groups, professional associations, and other municipal departments.

Participating in cross-sector collaboration with other authorities and the Ministry for Children and Youth.

Leading middle managers in the department and ensuring staff well-being, motivation, and skill development.
Professional qualifications:
-
Relevant educational background, such as social sciences, social work, or public administration.

Experience in management within the social sector.

Strong financial management skills.
-
Fluency in both Danish and Greenlandic.
Personal qualifications:

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate broadly.

Energetic, trustworthy, and personally resilient.

Highly motivated and capable of making decisions in complex situations.
