Therapist

Inulerivik is seeking an experienced therapist for the new National Center for Therapy and Counseling. The position involves working in a multidisciplinary team focused on treating children and adolescents with traumatic experiences. You will facilitate treatment processes and support the youth's journey towards increased coping and quality of life.

About the position:

The position involves working in an interdisciplinary and committed team focused on treatment and support for children and young people with traumatic experiences. You will use your therapeutic skills to facilitate treatment processes and support the young people's journey towards increased coping and quality of life.

The position includes:

  • Implementation of therapeutic courses individually and in groups with a focus on trauma treatment.
  • Planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual treatment interventions.
  • Interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration around the child/the young person.
  • Ongoing participation in supervision and professional sparring as part of quality assurance and development.
  • Speaks and writes both Greenlandic and Danish.
  • Has a relevant educational background and experience in trauma and crisis treatment.
  • Is good at creating trust and security in the relationship with children and young people with difficult experiences in their background.
  • Is empathetic, listening, and resilient in encounters with people in crisis.
  • Has insight into methods that help children and young people process traumatic experiences.

The practical:

The position is full-time (40 hours per week) and is located in Nuuk. Some travel activity can be expected in connection with the position.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No housing is provided for the position.
