Instructor for TNI programs at Greenland Business School

Would you like to help train the future skilled office and retail employees in Greenland?

At Niuernermik Ilinniarfik / Greenland Business School (GBS), we are looking for a teacher for TNI Flex, TNI Basis, and TNI.

The TNI programs are vocationally oriented courses where we focus on both professionalism, well-being, and completion. As a teacher, you will be part of a team that has close contact with the students and collaborates to create clear frameworks and motivating teaching.

Your teaching subjects can be:

• English
• Danish
• Social Studies
• Business Economics
• Marketing
• Mathematics

About you:

You have a relevant educational background – for example, a teaching degree (professional bachelor's), a vocational higher education, or equivalent professional competence.

You have a desire to teach young people and contribute to their academic and personal development. Experience in teaching or educational work is an advantage, but not a requirement.

It is a significant advantage that you can teach in Greenlandic and Danish. You can work in a multilingual classroom and organize the teaching so that linguistic differences do not become a barrier to the students' learning. Experience with differentiated instruction and working with students with different academic and personal backgrounds is an advantage.

You can create structure and clear frameworks in teaching and work relationally with the students. You can create strong and inclusive learning communities, manage students with different backgrounds, and make the teaching practice-oriented and relevant. You thrive in an environment where collaboration, flexibility, and shared responsibility are important.

Tasks:

Your tasks include teaching, planning, evaluating, and collaborating with colleagues and supervisors regarding students' completion and well-being.

You engage in professional collaboration with teaching teams and contribute to the school's pedagogical development.

As an instructor, you refer to the education inspectors and participate in the daily collaboration in the TNI programs.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No housing will be provided for the position. If an applicant already has housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned housing is retained. The housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
