Hotel Icefiord Ilulissat is hiring – for the summer season of 2027

From the beginning of March, Hotel Icefiord becomes very busy. Therefore, we are looking for new colleagues, who can start in mid-February 2027, and who are available for the summer season – with the possibility of extension.

At Hotel Icefiord in Ilulissat, you will be part of a team of dedicated and passionate staff in the restaurant or reception.

We are looking for:

Waiter (Server)

As a waiter, you will work closely with the kitchen, dividing your shifts into two per day — either day or evening shifts.

Your main tasks as a waiter in the morning will be preparing the breakfast buffet, ensuring the buffet is replenished, setting up the dining area, cleaning, and organizing.

Your main tasks as a waiter in the evening will be advising guests on food and wine, serving food and drinks, and ensuring guests have a great experience, handling payments and working with invoices.

Receptionists

As a receptionist, you will be visible from the hotel’s entrance – acting as the face of the hotel.

Tasks include: welcoming guests, check-in/check-out, responding to emails and phone calls, managing reservations, and providing information and guidance to guests.

Good communication with other team members is essential, ensuring that guests have the best possible experience.

We are looking for:

• Experience as a waiter or receptionist is an advantage
• Friendly, open, and good at providing service
• Fluent in English and Danish or Greenlandic
• Motivated to learn, able to work independently, and proactive in finding solutions
• A team player who can contribute to the best development within the team
• Clear communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks – especially understanding changes in the weather and transportation in Greenland
• A valid driver's license is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Available to work from February 15 to September 15, 2027 (positions may be extended)
