Inulerivik is looking for a therapist for Klinik Killiliisa
Inulerivik is seeking a psychotherapist who is a pronounced team player, ready to coordinate and develop efforts for treatment for individuals with abusive behavior towards children and young people in collaboration with the therapists at Klinik Killiliisa. We are looking for an employee who is passionate about creating positive changes in the prevention area and preferably has an interest in the field. The position is anchored in Klinik Killiliisa for individuals with sexually abusive behavior towards children and young people, where you, in collaboration with the rest of the team, will also need to contribute to the implementation and development of the treatment offerings.
About the position
You will join a group of therapists where collaboration, transparency, and professional ethics are central elements. In the group, we value collaboration, professional ethics, and a pragmatic approach to method use. Prior psychotherapeutic experience with treating individuals who have sexually abused others is not necessarily required. It is expected that you can work independently in a new professional area and engage in development work and other tasks that are not necessarily traditional psychotherapeutic tasks – including meeting leadership, administrative work, teaching, and data collection. A psychologist and two therapists are employed who directly treat individuals with sexually abusive behavior; you will join the team as a therapist to conduct treatment conversations and various tasks.
The treatment center offers clinical sexological treatment, and if one does not have prior experience with and competencies in clinical sexology, there is the possibility for sexology-oriented courses and education. The implementation of the treatment offerings has been done in collaboration with a sexological clinic in Denmark, which also assists with shorter educational programs, regular weekly supervision, and counseling.
Your tasks will include:
- Receiving referrals
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with many professional groups
- Social work coordination tasks, e.g., network meetings
- Developing treatment plans and strategies as well as clinically relevant data and evaluation materials
- Contributing content to information and campaign strategies
- Advising and investigating resocialization mechanisms
- Various administrative tasks and network collaboration
- Conversations with relatives
We are looking for an employee who:
- Has psychotherapeutic experience
- Has an interest in preventive work.
- Is willing to share knowledge in sexological treatment as an employee.
- Has a professional interest in the field
- Is systematic and can work methodologically with data collection
- Has good collaboration skills across professional groups and sectors
- Possesses strong communicative skills
- Is curious as a person and professionally
- Has knowledge of Greenlandic society and Greenlandic culture
- Is Greenlandic speaking
We offer:
- A workplace with high professionalism, as well as colleagues with good values and a strong sense of community.
- Opportunity for significant influence on daily tasks and the project as a whole.
- Good supervision opportunities both internally and externally
- Good opportunities for competence development.
