Reception Manager (maternity cover)

The National Library of Greenland is seeking a maternity cover for the position of reception manager to be employed from November 15, 2026, or by agreement.

The reception ensures contact with users and conveys the library's offerings to internal and external users.

Your tasks will be:

• Scheduling shifts
• Coordinating the revision of books and other tasks
• Checking time reports from assistants
• Coordinating staff participation in events
• Ordering and purchasing items for staff and users
• Shifts at the reception (including Saturday shifts approximately every 4 weeks)

We expect that:

• You have an office education
• You can work independently
• You have knowledge of Excel
• You are reliable and meticulous with tasks
• It will be an advantage if you are bilingual in Greenlandic/Danish and speak English

The library is the public library for Nuuk and the central library for all of Greenland. It is a centrally located library that is frequently used by citizens, both large and small.

We are organizationally divided into 4 teams: Team Groenlandica, Team Nunarput, Team Experiences, and Team Service. We are a library that is the driving force behind many events, including the annual Culture Night, Author Celebration, and we like to make our mark in the city's cultural life, for example, at the Suialaa Arts Festival.
