Bureau for Inatsisartut is looking for a service employee to assist members of Inatsisartut and the Bureau for Inatsisartut's other departments.
Are you service-minded? Can you talk to everyone? Can you not help but take initiative and responsibility? And are you not afraid of irregular working hours? Then you might be just the person we are looking for to fill the vacant position as a service employee in the service department.
As a service employee in the service department, you will be the contact person for the members of Inatsisartut and the Bureau's employees regarding administrative and practical questions and matters. You will, among other things, need to assist with managing the premises for the members, party secretariats, and the bureau, as well as handle a wide range of administrative tasks. In addition, it is expected that you help with the many practical tasks in daily life.
The service department is tasked with handling a wide range of practical and administrative matters that are significant for the daily work of the members of Inatsisartut and the bureau's employees.
The service department will, among other things, take care of:
· Premises for the members, party secretariats, and the bureau
· Interior maintenance and cleaning of the buildings,
· Copying and distributing documents and attachments to the members of Inatsisartut in both electronic form and on paper
· Purchasing
· Catering for meetings
· The bureau's journal function
· Welcoming and preparing rooms and materials for new employees
· Ensuring that Inatsisartut and our premises are always presentable
· Requesting craftsmen, movers, etc.
· Servicing coffee machines
· Organizing staff events
The tasks are solved partly internally and partly with assistance from external parties.
For example, you will need to request moving crews, craftsmen, and maintain ongoing dialogue with the cleaning staff.
The service department is currently staffed with 3 people, in addition to 2 assistants during the sessions of Inatsisartut. Everyone in the service department reports to the Bureau's HR & Administration Manager.
You will need to actively and constructively contribute to establishing workflows, job descriptions, duty rosters, etc.
Personal qualities:
You are outgoing, cooperative, service-minded, and able to keep track of several different tasks at once. You can work independently and possess good coordination skills. You have personal resilience and are not afraid to say no. Additionally, you should be willing to have a workday that consists of a mix of administrative and practical tasks.
You have good user experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Outlook. Experience with documentation systems will be an advantage, but is not a requirement.
You will be part of a smaller organization where input and suggestions for optimization are welcome. You are energetic and eager to contribute to daily life with a good mood. Relevant work experience from previous employment and relevant educational background are emphasized. However, there are no specific requirements for your educational level.
Employment conditions:
You will be employed on an individual contract and depending on qualifications and experience. The position entails a duty obligation outside normal working hours, as there is often a lot of overtime during the sessions. This is compensated separately.
Start date by agreement - preferably December 1, 2026.
Unfurnished housing can be provided, for which rent is paid according to applicable regulations. Travel for arrival and departure as well as any relocation of belongings will be on terms corresponding to applicable agreements.
