If you are up for professional challenges in Greenland, we are looking for a bioanalyst for a permanent position or temporary employment starting from December 1, 2026. We can offer temporary positions of at least 3 months duration or a permanent position.
The regional hospital has 2 bioanalysts who daily manage our small laboratory. They take blood samples from the admitted patients, blood samples from acute and outpatient patients. Samples are analyzed and the blood samples that cannot be analyzed locally are sent. The 2 bioanalysts take turns being on call every other weekend.
Work tasks include: carrying out daily routine work, including reporting results, quality control, and maintenance of the department's technical equipment. Additionally, blood sampling, analyzing samples, bloodletting, and reconciliation.

About us:
The regional hospital in Qaqortoq is located in the Kujataa region, where we also have laboratories in the two health centers in Nanortalik and Narsaq
The laboratory is an integrated part of the regional hospital, which also consists of a medical clinic, a ward with 18 beds, an operating room, an emergency room, midwifery services including births, health care, psychiatric and somatic home nursing, physiotherapy, lifestyle nurses, TB nurses, and the city's pharmacy.
We are about 60 employees, several of whom undertake business trips to our 2 health centers in Narsaq and Nanortalik

A bit about Qaqortoq:
Qaqortoq is the largest town in South Greenland with around 3200 inhabitants including the 7 surrounding settlements.
The town receives young people from all over Greenland for education at the Business School and high school.
The town has most modern conveniences with grocery stores, a heliport, good shipping connections, connections with the coastal ship, as well as several restaurants and cultural offerings.
The nature close to the town offers many hiking opportunities, and in winter the possibility for cross-country skiing.

Housing
Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.
Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
