Integrated Daycare "Qivioq" is looking for an educator

The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a skilled and committed educator for the integrated daycare "Qivioq" with immediate start or by agreement.

Integrated daycare "Qivioq" is a daycare for children aged 0-6 years.

It is designated for 96 children. These are divided into 6 rooms.

The staff in the room: one educator, one social helper, and one assistant.

Additionally, there is a full-day kitchen helper, kitchen assistant, manager, and a support person in the kindergarten and nursery if needed.

The integrated daycare "Qivioq" is open between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and it is located on Samuel Kleinschmidts vej in the city.

The educator will be employed as a room educator in "Qivioq". He/she will be responsible for various plans. "According to the Inatsisartut Act No. 62 of November 20, 2023, on pedagogical developmental offers for preschool children, preparation of plans and activities.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
