Nanortalik Nursing Home is looking for a new kitchen manager.

Employment is expected December 1, 2026 or by further agreement.

The nursing home in Nanortalik has 22 residents and also provides food for 5-10 citizens, which can vary according to need.

We emphasize that our residents receive a healthy and varied diet, we have meetings with our residents so they have the opportunity to make requests.

Your tasks will include:

• Maintaining hygiene principles in a large kitchen, where self-control plays a significant role.
• Leading the staff with openness and understanding.
• Adhering to the financial framework.
• Having close cooperation with the residents.
• Having close cooperation with the manager at Ajarsivasik.
• Managing and being responsible for dietary food and understanding the elderly's need for a varied diet.
• Ensuring it is important to serve food in an inviting manner.

Housing:
There will be staff housing available for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payments in Greenland's Self-Government and the municipality's properties, etc. in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, temporary staff housing will be offered to employees entitled to temporary housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above rules.

The start date is dependent on when a staff housing becomes available. A relocation travel allowance is provided according to applicable rules.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal record check. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon thereafter.

Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for housekeepers or kitchen managers.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
