A position as department leader in Nanortalik's Living Arrangements, sheltered workshop, and support staff is available for appointment from December 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

Organizationally, the area falls under the social administration's Disability Area in the Municipality of Kujalleq, where the nearest leader is the disability coordinator for living arrangements and sheltered workshops as well as support staff.
The content of the position includes:
·Ensure daily operations and coordination of housing units for citizens with disabilities, activity - social center in Nanortalik
·Supervise and coordinate support work in the housing units
·Supervise and coordinate support staff work for citizens living in their own homes
·Ensure that applications are processed according to adopted service - and quality standards
·Ensure continuous on-the-job training in the support staff area as well as development of the area and enhance quality
·Ensure outreach work and have insight into cross-sector collaboration, where citizens need support staff
·Ensure continuous and close interdisciplinary collaboration with internal and external partners
·Ensure to prepare an annual report for the Disability Coordinator
We expect the following qualifications;
- That you are a trained social educator or similar education
- That you have experience in leadership
- That you have experience in coordinating support staff
- That you possess responsibility and independence for solving the task, and have good ideas and initiative for new initiatives, and are a good planner
- That you have experience with administrative tasks, and finance, and good IT skills
- That you possess good communication and good message dissemination skills, and are goal-oriented
- That you have the necessary knowledge of case processing, and possess good formulation skills both written and orally in Greenlandic and Danish

Employment and remuneration:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for the Greenland Self-Government and in the Municipalities at the time of appointment. For external applicants, housing will be provided according to family size, as well as moving and travel expenses will be covered according to applicable rules
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
Criminal record:
The position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate and criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the Municipality has received the certificates
