As the Leader of the Street Team and Housing Training, you will be responsible for leading and supporting employees in their daily work with homeless and socially vulnerable citizens. You must ensure quality and efficiency in the team's tasks and promote a positive work environment.

As the Leader for the Street Team and Housing Training, you must ensure that the daily work in the Street Team and in Housing Training has continuity.
The Street Team's office has just moved to the Umiaq Shelter, and we are therefore facing an exciting development process, where we together will create the direction for better Citizen Services in this department.
We have 2 Housing Trainings located at 2 addresses, at the first address there are 11 rooms and space for 15 residents (4 double rooms) at the second address there are 2 buildings that have 44 rooms and space for 43. There are fixed responsible persons in these areas. In the Street Team, we also have the responsibility for Uummateqarfik, which is a small meeting place for homeless and socially vulnerable citizens. The opening hours are on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There are also fixed responsible persons in the area.
There are also Street Outreach workers who also have fixed responsibilities.
About the position:
As the Leader for the Street Team and Housing Training, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the Street Team's employees in their daily work. You must ensure that the team delivers professionally competent and holistic solutions to the citizens in the municipality. In addition, you will play a central role in creating a work environment that promotes professionalism in the team.
Areas of responsibility:
·Leadership and coordination:
Ensure effective coordination of the team's tasks and resources, including planning of tasks and compliance with Quality Standards, house rules, lease agreements, etc.
·Quality assurance and professional sparring:
Support the Street Team's employees with ongoing sparring and professional guidance, so they can deliver the best possible solutions to the citizens.
·Communication and collaboration:
Manage communication with other departments and external partners as well as ensure good communication between management, team, and citizens.
·Task follow-up and reporting:
Follow up on the team's tasks and processing time as well as report results and statistics to management.
We expect you to:
Qualifications and competencies:
·Educated Social Worker, educator, or equivalent background, preferably with relevant further education
·Experience in leading teams or in a coordinating role
·Strong communicative and pedagogical skills that create security and engagement in the team
·In-depth knowledge of the Homeless area as well as an understanding that we work with socially vulnerable citizens who need our support, guidance, and social skills training
·Ability to motivate and develop employees through support and constructive feedback
·That you have experience/knowledge of Quality Standards in the Homeless area
·Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement

Criminal record:
This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
