Health Assistant Wanted for Deputy Chief Position in the Consultation

The Regional Hospital Sisimiut is looking for an engaged and proactive health assistant for a permanent position as deputy chief in the consultation, starting on November 1, 2026, or by agreement.

As deputy chief, you will be a central part of the daily operations in our consultation and emergency room. You will have the opportunity to combine clinical nursing with leadership, coordination, development, and professional sparring – and you will have a workday where no two days are alike.
A role with responsibility and influence
As deputy chief, you will work closely with the head nurse and be jointly responsible for the daily management and operation of the consultation.
Your areas of responsibility will include:
- Planning and coordinating the daily operations
- Work schedules, weekly plans, and other administrative tasks
- Introduction, training, and guidance of new employees
- Professional development and competence development within the staff group
- Updating and implementing guidelines and procedures
- Participation in staff and leadership meetings
- Depot responsible
You will also have an exciting everyday life
The position is primarily in day shifts in the consultation.
Your clinical tasks will include:
- Independent nursing consultations
- Triaging acute and outpatient inquiries in collaboration with other nursing staff
- Receiving and assessing patients in the emergency room
- Assisting doctors with minor surgical procedures
Additionally, you will be part of the on-call function with weekend duty every third weekend. You should also expect on-call duties from home on weekdays as well as assisting with coverage during illness, vacation, and course activities as needed.

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
