Kalaallit Nunaanni Parnaarussiveqarfiit (KNP) – Greenland's Prisons is looking for a store employee for the prison in Nuuk to start as soon as possible.

About KNP – Greenland's Prisons

KNP – Greenland's Prison is part of Denmark's Prisons and is under the Ministry of Justice. KNP – Greenland's Prisons consists of 6 prisons, the Supervisory Department, and the Head Office. Our approximately 150 permanently employed staff carry out a significant task in creating a safe environment for the implementation of measures and in contributing to resocialization.

The prison in Nuuk is the largest prison in Greenland with a total of 76 places. The inmates in the prison in Nuuk purchase their food and daily goods in the prison's store, and it is therefore important that the store is run with a steady hand.

Your tasks

The work tasks will include the following:

·      Ordering goods and developing the store's assortment

·      Restocking items

·      Serving customers

·      Tidying up in the store and in the warehouse

·      Supervising inmates in the store

·      Engaging inmates in the store and in the warehouse

·      Administrative tasks related to the operation of the store

Salary and employment conditions

You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement or on an individual contract. Salary and supplements are based on education and experience. The position is a full-time position with an average working time of 40 hours per week. Relocation assistance and travel expenses are provided according to the applicable rules at any given time. An unfurnished staff accommodation may be assigned.
