Become the chairman of the electricity production in Paamiut!

Are you ready to take responsibility, lead a strong team, and help ensure a stable and efficient electricity production?

As chairman, you will play a central role in the daily operation of the power plant in Paamiut. You will be responsible for both skilled, unskilled employees and apprentices – and become an important part of a team where collaboration, safety, and professional development are in focus.

You will handle tasks related to the daily operation of electricity-producing facilities in Paamiut.

The primary tasks also include administrative and managerial initiatives in accordance with given directives, instructions, and guidelines. The chairman actively contributes to creating good collaboration internally within the team, the district, and the company.

You will be responsible for skilled and unskilled employees as well as apprentices connected to electricity production in Paamiut, your immediate supervisor will be the Operations Responsible Team Leader.

You will also assist in the preparation of proposals for optimization and development of the professional content within the area of responsibility.

In collaboration with the team leader, you will be connected to the employees in the power plant department in Paamiut, and must be prepared to participate in a shift arrangement.

Furthermore, it is the chairman's responsibility to ensure that internal procedures are continuously developed and followed, as well as that applicable legislation is complied with in all areas, particularly:

• Safety and authority requirements.
• Training of employees connected to Nukissiorfiit Paamiut in the use of the technical facilities and associated tools.
• Participate in the training of new employees before they enter the shift arrangement.
• Contribute to fulfilling and developing Nukissiorfiit Corporate Social Responsibility objectives.
• Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Operations Responsible Team Leader.

It will be an advantage if you have these qualifications:

• Professional technical education, preferably as a machinist.
• Independence as well as the ability to work in a team.
• Creative and initiative-taking, sees opportunities instead of limitations.
• It is an advantage if you speak and write Greenlandic and Danish, but not a requirement.
• Knowledge of IT at user level.
• Driver's license for a car.

Salary and employment conditions:

Employment will be in accordance with the agreement between Naalakkersuisut (Greenland Self-Government) and the relevant professional organization.

Housing may be provided for the position.

If you have already been provided with housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to provided housing will be retained.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
