Vocational teacher for the Shipbuilding Technician education

KTI, the School of Iron & Metal in Nuuk is looking for 2 vocational teachers for the Shipbuilding program

Then you should become Kalaallit Nunaanni Teknikkimik Ilinniarfik's new teacher and colleague in the shipbuilding program in Nuuk.

We are looking for a shipbuilder who is eager to teach the future shipbuilders and provide them with personal and professional ballast. A teacher who has the ability to capture and engage our students and participants. A colleague who is committed, team-oriented, and outgoing.

Tasks:

You will work with your colleagues to plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the teaching in the program.

You will be part of a school that meets the wishes and needs we see in the Greenlandic labor market and among those seeking education.

The shipbuilding program at KTI is run by dedicated colleagues. In the team, we focus on creating a red thread in the teaching and ensuring that everyone meets a very high teaching standard. We are passionate about our students progressing academically as much as possible, believing in themselves, and succeeding in life.

Profile:

We expect that you:

• have an education as a shipbuilder or equivalent documented qualifications relevant to the program

• have an interest in teaching and guiding, and are eager to share your knowledge with the students

• as a professional are academically and technically curious

• as a person are outgoing, development-oriented, and eager to work with the team to deliver KTI's core task: The best teaching for students and participants

You should preferably have several years of relevant work experience in the field.

As a new teacher, you will receive help and support from experienced colleagues, and as part of your professional development, we will pay for you to receive a pedagogical basic education (PG), which takes place during working hours and often in other towns along the coast of Greenland. The education provides the same competencies as the Danish PG.

KTI - Kalaallit Nunaanni Teknikkimik Ilinniarfik is the Greenlandic technical school. We offer education in several directions, Nuuk department - Auto, Marine, shipbuilding, welding, terminal, and electrician programs. Sisimiut department – Construction and raw materials programs. Additionally, GUX Sisimiut is part of KTI

Salary and employment conditions
Salary - and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right documented competencies, employment can occur as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement

Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
