Do you want to help strengthen special educational efforts for children and young people in South Greenland?
MISI Kujalleq is looking for a dedicated MISI Consultant to be employed from November 1, 2026 or by agreement, with MISI Kujalleq, Qaqortoq.

About MISI Kujalleq

MISI Kujalleq provides pedagogical-psychological counseling and special educational guidance in Municipality Kujalleq.

You will be part of a team of five employees consisting of:

• Lead psychologist in the schools
• Psychologist
• MIS employee
• MISI consultant
• Office assistant

We offer close collaboration, professional sparring, and a working environment where the well-being and development of children and young people are at the center.

In the position, you will report to the lead psychologist in the schools.

Job responsibilities

Your job responsibilities will include:

• Advising schools and daycare institutions on special education and pedagogical special efforts.
• In collaboration with psychologists and consultants in special education, conducting pedagogical investigations, follow-ups, and conversations regarding children and students with special needs, including assessments, preparation of reports, and recommendations.
• Advising and sparring with parents, teachers, and educators about the well-being, development, and learning of children and young people.
• Participating in the development, planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration within the field of special education.

Travel activity to the municipality's towns and settlements is to be expected.

We are looking for you, who has the following qualifications:

• Is educated as a speech and hearing pedagogue or similar
• Has experience with special pedagogy and with children with special needs.
• Can work independently while also constructively collaborating with others.
• Has a respectful approach to other people.
• Actively contributes to a good working environment.
• If possible, speaks both Greenlandic and Danish.

Qualifications

We expect that you have a relevant pedagogical or educational degree, for example as a teacher, educator, or equivalent, as well as further education or higher education in special pedagogy, inclusion, learning, and/or communication.

Salary and employment conditions

Other agreements may apply depending on IMAK's agreement or the applicant's education and qualifications.

For newcomers, housing can be offered according to applicable rules. Temporary accommodation is to be expected.

In connection with the employment, travel to the workplace is paid, and moving expenses are covered according to applicable rules.

Child certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has obtained a child certificate.

The child certificate will be included in the municipality's assessment of who should be employed in the position.
