Meeqqat Angerlarsimaffiat Ivaaraq Qaqortoq is looking for a Department Leader in the Yellow Department

Meeqqat Angersimaffiat Ivaaraq is a nationwide round-the-clock service for citizens with multiple disabilities, normed for 15 residents distributed across 2 departments.
The round-the-clock service is located in Qaqortoq – a very beautiful town surrounded by lovely nature. The staff group has experience in the field. Ivaaraq is a lively, different, and exciting workplace, with a focus on development.

A bit about the Yellow Department Ivaaraq:
The Yellow Department is normed for 5 residents who need significant support for all daily tasks.

1 department leader 40 hours weekly with employment starting November 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

Conditions:

• Qualified educator.
• You have experience in management.
• You can work independently, are cooperative, and have good contact with the staff.
• You have interest and preferably experience in working with individuals with multiple disabilities.
• You can help shape the pedagogical development.
• Have overview and impact.
• Are professionally and personally well-founded.
• Are present with residents and colleagues.

Daily work and responsibilities:

• Guidance and support to the staff.
• Can adapt and work beyond the residents' needs.
• Responsible for medication.
• Collaboration with the principal and department leaders.

Child and criminal record

It should be expected that, with consent, a criminal and child record will be obtained.

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record and child record. According to the law, employment can only begin when Ivaaraq has received a criminal record and child record.

Housing:

No housing can be provided for the position.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions in accordance with the applicable agreement/collective agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization at the time of commencement.
