The Tax Agency is looking for a communications professional to make tax more understandable for citizens and businesses. You will work on improving communication and ensuring the website and social media are updated. The position requires creativity and the ability to work in a team.
Do you want to make taxes more understandable for the benefit of citizens and businesses?
The Tax Agency is looking for a communication professional who is passionate about helping citizens and businesses. Our communication is often technical and very text-heavy. We need a communication employee who can bridge the gap between citizens and businesses and our professional communication.
You do not need to be a tax expert, as long as you are curious and willing to learn about the field. We provide space for your professionalism and creative abilities to come into play, and we are open to thinking and trying new things when it comes to communication. For example, we have worked with animation films and comic universes, and we are ready to listen to your ideas.
You can expect a workday with varied tasks. From news in the Tax Agency's organization to drafts of press releases, polishing letters that citizens receive in e-Boks, guidelines for businesses, development of user interfaces for reporting taxes, or development of initiatives in Citizen Services.
In addition to the job's creative elements, some tasks will have the character of ensuring operations. You will, among other things, be responsible for ensuring that the Tax Agency's website is updated, and that our Facebook page reflects what is relevant for citizens and businesses.
If you, in addition to your communication profile, also have skills in project management, you will have ample opportunity to activate these skills.
At the Tax Agency, you will be part of a management team. It is a team of various specialists in areas such as IT project management and law. The team, together with management, helps set the direction for the Tax Agency and achieve initiatives. We have a good working community both with each other and the rest of the Tax Agency.
Primary tasks
- Support the Tax Agency's external communication: website, social media, letters, signs, digital user interfaces, guidelines for citizens and businesses, forms, etc.
- Drive the Tax Agency's internal communication; the Tax Agency has over 100 employees across the country and in Aalborg.
- Draft the Tax Agency's communication in writing and in other media in dialogue with management and colleagues.
- Strengthen the meeting between citizens and businesses on one side and your colleagues in the Tax Agency on the other side.
About you
You have a relevant higher education or extensive experience working with communication for organizations.
It is an advantage if you have in-depth knowledge of Greenlandic societal conditions. You should be able to put yourself in the shoes of citizens and businesses and communicate based on their needs.
We particularly emphasize that you:
- Have a high professional level in communication. You understand which target groups we communicate with, the framing of messages, clear and precise information, and other basic skills in communication.
- Have experience with several of the tasks that need to be solved; website, press, texts, etc.
- Thrive working as part of a team. But also independently.
- Communicate clearly – and listen to others' perspectives.
It would be an advantage if you master both Greenlandic, Danish, and English.
Personal competencies
- Team-oriented and can work across the organization. This applies both in the management team and in the rest of the Tax Agency.
- Responsible and solution-oriented.
- Structured and self-driven and able to plan your workday, with subsequent follow-up and documentation.
- You are engaged in your work and wish to develop professionally.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary - and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and severance travel and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment can occur as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
