Majoriaq Qaqortoq is looking for a dedicated vocational teacher for teaching and planning of qualification courses. The position requires relevant education and experience, as well as good collaboration skills. Employment will be in accordance with the Greenland Self-Government's collective agreement.
Subject Teacher
Subject Teacher for Majoriaq Qaqortoq
Majoriaq Qaqortoq is looking for a skilled and dedicated subject teacher starting on November 1, 2026 or by agreement.
Subject Teacher/Counselor primary tasks will be:
- To teach in FA programs
- Plan and conduct qualification courses (FA programs)
- Scheduling, absence registration, accounting for teacher hours
- Conducting assessments of applicants for FA programs
- Making registrations in IT-reg
We expect you to:
- Have completed the educational & career counseling education or equivalent professional competence approved by Naalakkersuisut
- Have a relevant education and preferably experience in some of the work areas.
- Be able to work independently and systematically
- Be service-oriented with good collaboration skills and a good mood
- Master Greenlandic and Danish in writing and speech
- Be stable, engaged, and positive towards work, colleagues, students, and citizens
- Possibly master Mathematics, Physics, and Language subjects
- Have knowledge of the education system
Employment and remuneration will be according to AK's functional agreement for persons employed in the Government of Greenland and the Greenlandic municipalities.
