The Tax Agency is seeking a department head for the Employer Register (Sulinal) to be filled by November 1, 2026, or by further agreement.
Organizational Placement
The position is organizationally placed in the Tax Agency's Economic Department in Nuuk.
You will be part of a team that currently consists of 3 employees and an apprentice.
The Employer Register is responsible for ensuring that employers report their employees' salaries, daily customer service in person, by phone, and via email inquiries.
It is therefore important that you are a person who seeks collaboration with others, is solution-oriented, and has the courage to handle a sometimes hectic everyday life where customers are at the center.
The Tax Agency is the country's highest tax authority, responsible for operational tasks in the areas of tax, duties, and collection.
Sulinal is centrally located, where we must ensure that all employer reports are made without errors and in accordance with the provisions of the law. Here, there will be a natural daily collaboration with the other departments in the Tax Agency.
Organizationally, the Employer Register falls under the Tax Agency's Economic Department, which among other things handles all tax and duty payments.
Your Tasks:
- You will be responsible for the operation of the administrative tasks related to employers' monthly ongoing reports and the reporting of annual salary statements.
- You must ensure a good professional and resourceful execution of the department's functions and ensure that tasks are performed with an effective use of existing resources while also ensuring high quality in the administrative and control work.
- You will, together with colleagues in Sulinal, serve the employers to ensure correct reporting and assist in simplifying and increasing the use of our IT systems.
- Sulinal conducts reconciliation of employer reports, registration and deregistration of employers, case processing, and service for both personal inquiries, telephone inquiries, and inquiries via email, as well as reminder runs.
- Validation of CPR numbers.
- Participation in the establishment of electronic tax cards.
- Management of credit balances, monthly reports to Tax Denmark, and payment of A-taxes.
- Guidance to businesses.
- Contact with the Tax Agency's system providers.
- Participation in solving other tasks as well as cross-functional tasks in the department and in the Tax Agency.
You will report to the office manager.
Your Qualifications:
- AU or Office trained with practical job experience.
- Familiarity with the use of IT tools.
- We expect you to possess a natural authority and be good at communicating.
- Be engaged and take responsibility for tasks.
- Function well in groups as well as independently.
- Have good collaboration skills.
- Be positive and outgoing.
- Have good language skills in Greenlandic, Danish, and English.
- Can handle having many balls in the air.
- Familiarity with the area and legislation as well as understanding of accounting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets, Word, etc.

Salary and Employment Conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right verifiable competencies, employment may occur as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is tied to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
