The National Pharmacy is looking for a pharmacist/pharmacy technician for an exciting and versatile workplace, where the hospital pharmacy and primary pharmacy are gathered under one roof.

About the National Pharmacy

The core tasks of the National Pharmacy are to service the departments of Queen Ingrid's Hospital and dispense medications according to prescriptions for the citizens of Nuuk. Since medication for citizens is free in Greenland, there will be no sale of medications and over-the-counter products. Therefore, there is no upselling or work with consultants and chains.

We emphasize a good working environment characterized by engagement, professionalism, good colleagues, and a focus on development and improvements. The management is present, there are good opportunities for sparring, and we have a close collaboration with the hospital's doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff. As part of the Greenlandic healthcare system, you will have the opportunity to work broadly and independently in an environment where collaboration, flexibility, and professionalism are crucial.

A daily routine with variety and professionalism

You will have a versatile daily routine with both clinical, operational, and logistical tasks. The tasks will be adapted to your qualifications, experiences, and interests.

Your tasks may include:

  • Medication management including dispensing and administration of medication to hospitalized patients
  • Medication service in the hospital's departments
  • Dispensing of prescriptions and distribution of medication at the pharmacy counter
  • Handling of medication orders, inventory management, and distribution to smaller settlements
  • Dialogue with departments and specialties about medication consumption and assortment

Who are we looking for

We are looking for a pharmacist or pharmacy technician who:

  • Puts professionalism and good communication at the center
  • Has good communication skills and thrives in contact with both patients and healthcare personnel
  • Is flexible, adaptable, and has a can-do attitude
  • Has a positive and solution-oriented approach to tasks
  • Has an affinity for IT and a desire to familiarize themselves with new systems

Housing

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic healthcare system at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Candidates who possess additional qualifications beyond those specified above, such as relevant diploma or master's levels, may be entitled to additional compensation in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the company's guidelines.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
