Qeqertarsuaq - Børnehave Kuluk is looking for a social educator

The Municipality of Qeqertalik Qeqertarsuaq is seeking an experienced educator for Børnehaven Kuluk, starting on October 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

The kindergarten is traditionally divided into three rooms. We envision that the educator will be placed in the room with children aged 0-2 years. The room is intended for 12 children. It should be expected that there may be rotation in the rooms as needed.

With you as the educator in the room, you will have two colleagues. This means that there is close collaboration in the daily tasks and activities. Your supervisor and immediate leader is the manager of the kindergarten.

Your main task will be pedagogical work with the children's development and well-being in accordance with the institution's rules and objectives, as well as the applicable Inatsisartut law on pedagogical developmental offerings for preschool-aged children.

• Can arrange activities
• Can create good collaboration with parents
• Are responsible and independent

Additional information:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Housing:

There will be staff housing available for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary vacant housing, for which A-tax will be paid for free benefits in accordance with applicable legislation.

OR The start date is dependent on when a staff housing becomes available. A relocation travel and moving expenses will be provided in accordance with applicable rules.

A staff housing must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Criminal and child certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.
