Qeqertarsuaq - Kindergarten Kuluk is looking for a social helper

The kindergarten Kuluk in the Municipality of Qeqertalik Qeqertarsuaq is looking for 1 Social Helper/Social Assistant for employment October 1, 2026 or by agreement.

The social helper's/social assistant's immediate supervisor is the head of the kindergarten.

The position is a full-time position with 40 hours per week. There is space for 52 kindergarten children. The kindergarten is open Monday – Friday from 06:45 – 17:00. The kindergarten is part of the INUIT department.

Job and responsibility tasks:

·Work according to the institution's rules and objectives.

·To take care of the children in a safe and responsible manner.

·Collaboration between different teams and departments.

·Collaboration with parents.

·Ad hoc work and prioritization in relation to tasks.

·Social helper/social assistant, trained.

·Responsibility.

·Overview.

·Competencies to engage and adapt.

·Willing to collaborate.

·Humble and stable.

·Physically and mentally healthy as well as outgoing and cheerful.

Salary and employment conditions:

Employment is in accordance with the applicable agreement between Naalakkersuisut and the negotiating organization.

No housing is provided for the position.

Criminal and child certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.
