Deputy Chef for Housing Unit Manngua 6

Disability and Social Psychiatry is looking for a skilled and committed deputy chef for Manngua 6. If you want to try leadership and are passionate about making a difference for our residents, you are exactly who we are looking for as our new colleague.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. You should expect changing shifts. You will work closely with the leader, and in their absence, you will step in for the leader with support from the rest of the management in the department.

The housing unit Manngua 6 is one of the Disability and Social Psychiatry housing units in Nuuk, and has residents aged 18 and above, with mental and physical disabilities.

Your core task will be to help the residents develop their mental, physical, and social skills, so they can live as independently as possible. You, along with your colleagues, will support the residents in living as well and fulfilling a life as they wish.

In addition to our 9 residents, the housing unit consists of 13 employees.

Your tasks:

·Plan, organize, and coordinate daily tasks in collaboration with the leader

·Development of the housing unit's offerings for residents in collaboration with the other staff and the leader

·Take on leadership and operational tasks in the leader's absence

Expectations of you:

·That you have a relevant professional background from the Disability and Social Psychiatry field

·That you are willing to lead and preferably have experience in leadership

·That you are eager to develop yourself and our department, making a significant difference for the residents

·That you can, in collaboration with the leader, set a clear direction for the employees

·That you are eager to work in a culture characterized by knowledge sharing, collaboration, and dialogue

·Can keep multiple balls in the air

·Adaptable

In this position, you will become part of a larger community: We are a department with eight housing units, five housing collectives, two activity and social offerings, and three support corps distributed in Nuuk, Tasiilaq, and Paamiut.

Criminal Record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and Employment Conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probationary period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
