Nanortalik Nursing Home is looking for a new kitchen manager.

Employment is expected October 1, 2026 or by further agreement.

The nursing home in Nanortalik has 24 residents and also provides food for 5-10 citizens, which can vary according to need.

We emphasize that our residents receive a healthy and varied diet, we have meetings with our residents so they have the opportunity to make requests.

Your tasks will include:

• Establishing and maintaining hygiene principles in a large kitchen, where self-control plays a significant role.
• Leading the staff with openness and understanding.
• Adhering to the financial framework.
• Having close cooperation with the residents.
• Having close cooperation with the manager at the nursing home.
• Taking care of and being responsible for dietary needs and understanding the elderly's need for a varied diet.
• Ensuring it is important to serve food in an inviting manner.

Housing:
There will be the possibility of staff housing for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in Greenland's Self-Government and the municipality's properties, etc. in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees with the right to temporary housing will be offered a temporary housing unit, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above rules.

The start date is dependent on when a staff housing unit is available. A relocation travel allowance is provided according to applicable rules.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal record check. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon thereafter.

Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for cooks or kitchen managers.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
