About the position

NUIF is looking for an engaged and responsible educator for our after-school club. The position is full-time with start date to be agreed upon.

As an educator, you will participate in the daily educational work with children and young people and help plan and implement activities that promote well-being, learning, community, and personal development.

Your tasks

·Plan and implement educational activities

·Create a safe and inclusive environment for children and young people

·Support the social and personal development of children and young people

·Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and relevant partners

·Contribute actively to the development of the club's educational practice

We expect that you

·Are a trained educator or have equivalent education

·Have experience with or interest in working with children and young people

·Are proactive, responsible, and good at collaborating

·Can work independently and also be part of a strong team

·Master Greenlandic and Danish. This is an advantage, but not a requirement

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is covered by the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
