About the position
Maligiaq is looking for a trained nutrition assistant who can manage daily kitchen operations and ensure nutritious, varied, and appealing meals for the institution's children.
You will have a central role in the institution and work closely with management and the educational staff on meals, food culture, allergies, and special dietary needs. The position requires professionalism, structure, and an understanding of working in a daycare institution.
Your main tasks
·Plan menus and prepare nutritious, varied, and child-friendly meals
·Ensure proper handling of allergies, intolerances, and other documented dietary needs
·Manage purchasing, receiving goods, inventory control, and economically conscious use of raw materials
·Ensure good kitchen hygiene, cleaning, temperature control, and documented self-control
·Prevent food waste and use raw materials responsibly and sustainably
·Collaborate with management and educational staff on meals and a positive food culture
·Organize kitchen work so that food is served timely and safely in a busy everyday life

·Meet children, parents, and colleagues respectfully and professionally
·Good skills in Greenlandic and Danish are an advantage, but not a requirement

About Maligiaq
Integrated Institution Maligiaq is located close to the swimming pool Malik and good opportunities for walks, accommodating 96 children spread over six rooms: 36 nursery children aged 0–2½ years in three rooms with 12 children in each room and 60 kindergarten children aged 2½–6 years in three rooms with 20 children in each room.
In addition to the leader, the institution is staffed with three employees in each room, where the deputy manager is included in the staffing, as well as employees for kitchen and cleaning. The institution is open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 17:00.
Criminal and Child Certificate:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/contract in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
