Kangaatsiaq - Børnehave Qupannaat is looking for a deputy manager

The Municipality of Qeqertalik, Kangaatsiaq, is looking for a deputy manager for Børnehave Qupannaat to be employed from September 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

Meeqqerivik Qupannaat is an institution that was opened on September 1, 2001.  

There are 2 age-divided institutions Qupannaat, which have three rooms, two rooms for toddlers and one room for preschool children.

General for the kindergarten / nursery:

·The position is a full-time position, 40 hours a week. The kindergarten / nursery has 3 different age groups, the first 0-2 years and the second 2-3 years, distributed to 24 places for children aged 0 to 2 years, and 20 places for children aged 3 to 6 years.

·The administration for the kindergartens falls under INUIT.

Applicant's qualifications:

·Educated pedagogue.

·Experience with personnel management and administration in a daycare institution.

·Be responsible, have an overview, and the ability to empathize and adapt.

·Be able to handle stressful situations, be flexible, cooperative, approachable, and stable.

·Good physical and mental health and an open and cheerful demeanor.

·Be prepared to work according to the daycare institution's goals and action plans.

Salary and employment conditions will be according to the applicable agreement.

Criminal and child certificate:This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police, as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

This position does not provide housing.
