Director for Angerlarsimaffik Palleq in Paamiut

The Social Agency is seeking a director for the Residential Offer Angerlarsimaffik Palleq, starting on October 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Angerlarsimaffik Palleq is a nationwide social pedagogical residential offer for adults aged 18 and older, for individuals with intellectual disabilities who need support around the clock and is located in Paamiut. Angerlarsimaffik Palleq is divided into 2 departments, where a total of 10 individuals can reside. Each department houses 5 individuals. The building has 2 floors, and residents live in rooms on the first floor. There is a guest house associated with the institution.
Angerlarsimaffik Palleq is a home for individuals with disabilities, where many different developmental initiatives are carried out for the residents.

The institution's overall goal is to create a safe environment for the residents. This places high demands on the pedagogical effort, as there are many different needs that must be met in daily life. There is a focus on observation and training aimed at maximizing individual self-sufficiency.

• Have knowledge of legislation

• Preferably be bilingual in Greenlandic/Danish

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right documented competencies, employment can occur as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Housing 
An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned to the position according to the rules in force at any time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the rules in force for the assigned housing. The staff housing is tied to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the assignment of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.

Criminal record
The Social Agency reserves the right to obtain a criminal record. We therefore inform you that employment can only take effect once the Social Agency has received a satisfactory criminal record from the Police.
