Health Assistants Wanted for the Qupanuk Nursing Home in Sisimiut

The nursing home Qupanuk is looking for health assistants in Sisimiut

Are you a trained social and health assistant and do you have a desire to work with elderly people?

The nursing home in Sisimiut is divided into two departments: Care department and dementia department, and each of the two departments is led by a department manager:

• The care department has space for 22 residents and one respite place.
• The dementia department has space for 22 residents.

Emphasis is placed on strengthening and maintaining each resident's ability for self-care, and that the house, its residents, and staff are part of a community with respect for the individual.

Your tasks will include:

• Personal care and support, and help ensure that care is provided in accordance with the purposes, goals, and rules established for the area.
• Contribute to creating trust and security through dialogue and conversation
• Work to strengthen the resident's functional level and resources, with rehabilitative workflows
• Be involved in further developing the nursing home by participating in the ongoing development in the area.

We expect that you:

• Are a trained health assistant
• Are stable and take responsibility for your tasks
• Can accommodate and relate to people's differences
• Have good ideas and take initiative
• Are good at collaborating
• Have a desire to use your professional skills.
• Preferably are bilingual.

• Full-time employment, working shifts of 12 hours with a fixed rolling schedule, but in return 14 days off in 4 weeks, and you should expect to work every 2nd weekend with a responsible function.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreements between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

A staff housing can be provided, for which payment is made according to applicable rules.

Start date 15.08.2026 or by agreement
