The nursery Inequnaat in Qasigiannguit is looking for a social worker for a full-time position starting on September 1, 2026. The position requires a social worker education and the ability to work in an active and engaged environment with children aged 0-2 years.
Qasigiannguit - Vugguestue Inequnaat is looking for a social worker
Kommune Qeqertalik Qasigiannguit is seeking a trained social worker for employment starting from September 1, 2026, or by further agreement, in the nursery Inequnaat.
General for the Nursery:
·The position is a full-time position, 40 hours a week. There is space for 24 children aged 0-2 years.
·The opening hours for the Nursery are Monday – Friday from 07:00 – 17:00
·The administration for the nursery falls under the Head of Early Childhood Education.
·In total, there are 9 staff members.
Applicant's qualifications:Social worker education, be responsible, active and engaged, have an overview, be able to handle stressful situations, be flexible, cooperative, welcoming and stable, possess good physical and mental health, and be prepared to work according to institutional goals, political goals for children and youth, and other applicable rules for employees under Kommune Qeqertalik.
Criminal and child certificate:This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:Salary and employment conditions will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. There is no staff housing associated with the position.
