Teacher for Grade 1

Nuussuup Atuarfia in Nuuk is looking for a Grade 1 teacher to be hired from March 1, 2026, or by agreement. About Nuussuup Atuarfia: Nuussuup Atuarfia is a grade-divided school with 380 students in grades 1-10 and a dynamic, engaged, and stable teaching staff of 45 educators. The school has 17 regular classes and 5 special classes, where students perform very well academically. Teacher's hours: The teacher will be the class teacher for 1B and will also teach 3B in subjects: Greenlandic, Danish, Mathematics, English, Science, Local Studies, Physical Education, Social Studies, History, Religion Philosophy, and Personal Development. Criminal and Child Record: The position is subject to the law requiring a criminal and child record check. According to the law, employment can only commence once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child records. Therefore, we must emphasize that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child record from the national police and the criminal record from the police. The child record is obtained by the municipality with the individual's consent, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police. Salary and employment terms: Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the applicable agreement/contract between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization at the time of commencement. Employment will be with a 3-month probation period. Housing: A staff residence may be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, consumption, etc., are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland's and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If a permanent staff residence cannot be provided immediately upon commencement, a temporary vacant residence will be offered to employees entitled to a vacant residence, for which rent, consumption, etc., are paid according to the above.
