Greenland's Climate Research Center is seeking a researcher/senior researcher in benthic ecology. The position involves leading monitoring programs and developing research projects in Greenlandic waters. The candidate will collaborate with international researchers and contribute to the sustainable use of marine resources.
Greenland's Climate Research Center (GCRC) at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources (GN) invites applicants for a position as a researcher/senior researcher in the field of marine benthic ecology.

The selected candidate will lead the center's nationwide monitoring of benthic organisms and contribute to the development of research projects in benthic ecology in Greenlandic waters. The candidate will collaborate with and join an international group of researchers conducting extensive research in marine ecology and oceanography aimed at understanding the natural variations of ecosystems and their responses to new influences.
The position offers broad opportunities to contribute to a research field that, from a national governance perspective, is becoming increasingly important with a growing awareness of the sustainable use of marine resources in Greenland. The position provides access to a wide range of facilities, including the institute's research vessels (RV Sanna and RV Tarajoq) and an extensive benthic dataset that is continuously being expanded.

In the assessment, special emphasis will be placed on the candidate's:
