We are looking for a dedicated and professionally strong consultant to handle technical and administrative tasks in the fishing and catch sector. The position combines advice, knowledge building, course activities, and dialogue with fishermen, catchers, suppliers, and authorities. Travel may occur in connection with tasks, fairs, courses, and meetings.
We are looking for an engaged and professionally strong consultant who can handle both technical and administrative tasks within the fishing and catch sector. The position combines consulting, knowledge building, course activities, and close dialogue with fishermen, catchers, suppliers, and authorities.
About the position
As a consultant, you play a central role in supporting fishermen and catchers in their daily business operations. You work both strategically and practically and contribute to the development, communication, and implementation of new initiatives, regulations, and technologies. Travel activities may be expected in connection with tasks, fairs, courses, and meetings across the country.
Your tasks – Technical area
Build, maintain, and disseminate knowledge about new fishing and catch technology, vessels, and equipment.
Advise on the acquisition of vessels and equipment as well as during yard stays.
Assist with the review and negotiation of offers as well as financing.
Your tasks – Administrative area
Advise on laws, regulations, and rules for fishing and catching.
Advised on marketing, new products, and production methods.
Arrange, coordinate, and hold courses in accounting, tax, and other administrative matters.
Communication and dissemination
Contribute to the publication of the consultancy service's professional magazine Sineriassortoq with information about new initiatives. Help ensure broad accessibility for the magazine. The content is prepared in close collaboration with the Department of Fisheries and Hunting as well as the actors in the fishing and hunting industry.
Contribute to the development, updating, and ongoing maintenance of the consultancy service's website.
