Nukissiorfiit is seeking a strong leadership profile for the position of district manager in Qeqqata – a central role responsible for the supply of electricity, water, and heating in one of Greenland's most important areas.

A key position with great responsibility and real influence

As district manager, you will have overall responsibility for approximately 60 employees distributed across several locations: Sisimiut, Maniitsoq, Tasiilaq, and Ittoqqortoormiit. You will be the top leader in the district and play a central role in both operations, development, and strategic direction.

You work closely with the other district managers and report directly to the technical director.

Your most important areas of responsibility

You will be responsible for:

• Ensure stable and future-proof supply of electricity, water, and heating.
• Drive projects safely to completion – on time, within budget, and with high quality.
• Manage the district's economy and ensure solid operating and capital budgets.
• Lead and develop the organization with a focus on well-being, performance, and collaboration.
• Ensure high standards in safety, working environment, and drinking water.
• Maximize the utilization of hydropower through electrification projects.
• Strengthen collaboration across districts and with the headquarters.

You are a clear and engaged leader with technical depth and business understanding.

• Has a relevant technical education (e.g., engineer or marine engineer)
• Has solid experience from the supply sector or a similar technical environment.
• Has documented leadership experience and the ability to achieve results through others.
• Has strong financial understanding and experience with budgets and projects.
• Is visible, motivating, and good at creating direction and engagement.

Employment conditions

Salary and employment are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Free travel for arrival and departure is provided in accordance with applicable regulations.

We offer unfurnished staff housing in accordance with applicable regulations. If you already have staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to this will be retained.
