You will become part of the team at Nuuk International School, which, in addition to you as the caretaker, consists of the school's management, the school's educational staff, and the school's secretary.

Your daily tasks

As a janitor, it is important for us that you are an early riser and an approachable person who opens our school every morning and keeps an eye on all the things that need to function in the school so that our staff has the best possible conditions to do their work.

You should have a flair for technology and be able to collaborate with technicians and craftsmen who carry out work at the school.

You must be able to accommodate a school full of children who constantly give work to everyone.

Who are we?

Nuuk International Free School, commonly referred to as NIF, is a school where we focus on academic achievement and well-being.

Our school has about 200 students and a total of 30 employees. NIF has one track from 1st to 10th grade as well as an after-school program.

Criminal and Child Certificate

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once we have received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once we have received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the free school with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the applicant from the Police.
