Development Consultant

If you are passionate about making a difference for citizens in mental distress, you can now be part of the development and establishment of Inulerivik.

We are looking for a substitute for the position of development consultant from March 1, 2026, until March 1, 2027, who has competencies in data, analysis, coordination, and project work – the substitute position is anchored in Inulerivik, National Therapy and Counseling Center.

The center has, among other things, direct citizen contact in the form of therapeutic treatment, while closely collaborating with social workers in the municipalities along the coast. Psychological and therapeutic services in Inulerivik include; the adult area that treats adults experiencing mental distress, the child area, Qinngorneq, as well as Klinik Killiliisa, where individuals with sexually abusive behavior towards children and young people or thoughts thereof have the opportunity for treatment.

The tasks are, among other things, in close collaboration and dialogue with colleagues in the new center, the Department of Children and Youth, the management of the Social Agency, and other relevant departments. In addition, the consultant will play a central role in the collaboration with upcoming external partners and their management. Therefore, the consultant can be responsible for the internal development and coordination of the center, as well as communication across relevant partners, the political level, and other stakeholders.

Concrete tasks in the position:

• Develop referral procedures and guidelines in collaboration with relevant sectors.
• Develop collaboration agreements across the center.
• Be involved in developing and creating new and/or customized concepts.
• Working with data and materials
• Plan and carry out evaluation and monitoring of the center's establishment phase.

• has a relevant higher education degree
• has experience with project work, preferably from a politically governed organization
• has knowledge of Greenlandic societal conditions and culture
• has a well-developed understanding of employee competence development and the education sector
• has strong communication skills and understands how to listen and talk to people from different fields.
• can work in organizational frameworks that are under development and be adaptable
• can thrive in working under the political decision-making layers that influence your tasks
• can work intensively up to deadlines for status reports and other deliverables

The position is full-time (40 hours per week) and is located at our treatment center in Nuuk. Some travel activity can be expected in connection with the position. The position is temporary until the end of 2026, possibly with the possibility of extension.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
