As a professional coordinator / special consultant (AC) for Communication and Internationalization, you will play a central role in gathering and developing Ilisimatusarfik's overall efforts in communication and internationalization.
You work at the intersection of strategy and operations, helping to ensure coherence, direction, and quality across the organization – both internally and in relation to national and international partners. The position reports to the university director.
The position is to be filled as soon as possible by agreement. The working hours are 40 hours a week.
The Department of Communication and Internationalization consists, in addition to you, of two employees: an AC officer who supports tasks within both communication and internationalization, as well as Ilisimatusarfik's internal interpreter, who handles written and oral translation and interpreting tasks.
Your areas of responsibility
You will have overall responsibility for coordinating and developing initiatives in both communication and internationalization.
Communication

Overall coordination of the communication area
-
Implementation and further development of Ilisimatusarfik's communication strategy

Operation and development of websites, newsletters, intranet, marketing and press materials
-
Coordination of translation of written material for internal and external use
-
Coordination of interpreting tasks, including during students' oral exams
-
Professional coordination and strengthening of international partnerships
-
Implementation and follow-up on Ilisimatusarfik's national and international strategy

Support for Study Services in connection with the application process for international students.
We expect that you:

The applicant must have at least 3 years of experience in professional coordination within communication if you are nominated for the special consultant position.

The applicant has at least 2 years of experience in communication if you are nominated for the AC advisor position.

Has a relevant master's degree
-
Has experience working with websites, social media, and similar.

Has experience collaborating at all levels
-
Has good abilities to work independently and in a structured manner.

Master both Greenlandic, Danish, and English in writing and speech.

Knowledge of Greenlandic society

About Ilisimatusarfik
Ilisimatusarfik, Greenland's University, was established in 1987 and currently offers 13 different programs, including some part-time programs at both diploma and master's levels. Ilisimatusarfik is an Arctic university that creates knowledge and innovation in a rapidly developing region. The board is the university's highest management body. The Joint Administration serves the entire university. It is led by the university director. The Joint Administration has departments in Ilimmarfik. The departments work closely with the academic units, but also collaborate with each other. The tasks of the Joint Administration are: student administration, personnel administration, servicing the board and the Academic Council, as well as other service functions for the university's staff and students. The Joint Administration is also responsible for the building operations of Ilimmarfik.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor can occur in accordance with the applicable agreement.
Housing
No staff housing is allocated for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the allocated staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
